IN MOVEMENT DANCE COMPANY has 2 categories: "Movement Makers" is our advanced level team of dancers/choreographers, and Vision Chaser is our youth division age dancers (ages 6 - 12). Both groups are offered performance opportunities in our community and are taken on dance workshops and events out of town throughout each season! IMD Company dancers are offered additional performance opportunities throughout the season which we will share on in group facebook page. We also hold two in house performances throughout each season...

In Movement Dance Company members are committed to their training, and take at least 4 full days of classes per week (14 hours weekly minimum required for Movement Makers and 10 hours weekly for Vision Chasers) Monday - Saturday to develop a foundation in techniques from across a range of styles that gives each dancer versatility in their movement vocabulary. They are taught how to work as a team, develop healthy habits, and become goal oriented for their own success as young people.
Our mission as a dance company is to provide training that does more than just create well rounded and versatile dancers; we teach our dancers to
- Develop a healthy respect for their minds and bodies

- Become good people who add value to their communities
- Set goals for the future and develop the qualities needed to accomplish the goals they set.
Company is divided into 4 divisions:
Trainees - This is division is for beginners who want to be in company but don't feel ready to perform. Dancers train to become familiar with company training, etiquette, and only take the stage once they move into a higher division upon directors approval.
Mini - These are for our youngest dancers. Once a dancer turns 12 they are eligible to move up into . Mini division does not always take the stage with the total company and have lighter training schedule to keep them balanced with school, home routines, etc.
Junior - Junior division is for dancers ages 12 - 18. This division is meant for dancers who have displayed the qualities needed to develop good technique and who have displayed an understanding of proper class etiquette, training habits, and the qualities needed to progress into the Senior divison.
Senior - Our senior division are for dancers of an advanced level and typically start at age 14 with some exceptions made for students who meet the technical and behavioral requirements for this division. Senior division members are offered paid dance opportunities throughout the season when available and are offered opportunities for paid TA and teaching positions.
Company Levels take into consideration both age and class level.
We are an all inclusive dance company! Applying company members need to have a strong desire to learn and grow as people, must have an open mind when learning new styles, must be committed to a weekly routine of training, and must be willing to receive constructive feedback.
